Congratulations Donna!!! You earned this with all you do. Many ladies would not be in this sport or be able to defend themselves without your hard work, training and encouragement! :clapping:

I don't want it to seem as if I were trying to steal George's thunder--or move this discussion out of the Women's section--but becasue this is a national NRA award I wanted to give the news as much exposure as possible, so I also started a thread in the General Guns & Shooting fourum:

http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_F ... 23&t=25015

Just visit the homepage of the Texas State Rifle Association Political Action Committee and you'll see the regard in which the award is held: first thing you see is a picture of Alice Tripp receiving the 2005 award from Marion Hammer.

In fact, only three Texans have ever won the award: Alice Tripp in 2005, Kate Ferraro-Creigh in 2007, and now Donna Vandermolen in 2009. All well deserved!
