I'm taking the CHL test this weekend,
I'm 52
I went to the Tarrant co. Justice Center for a criminl records ck 2nd foor(Misdemeanor) didnot do the finger print
they show nothing as far back as 1976
but,
when 19 I was arressted for criminal mischeif but we made restitution( i was finger printed, spent the night in jail ,mommy got me out)
in early 1980's I got a Public Intoxication, spent the night in jail paid fine.

now, since i have a cerified copy from TCJustic center showing no record.
should I mention these arrest or keep quite?

if i do mention them ?
should i send my info from the court house with my other paper work?

how accurite on the dates do i need to be? on the form

thanks

Hey, welcome to the forum!

I'd say if you've got paper from both agencies showing "no record found" I'd just put the arrest down. I'm assuming that the criminal mischief arrest qualified as a misdemeanor, because if it did, you'd be golden even if they did have a record.

What do you mean "Both agencies"
it was a misdemanor, paid 70.00 for damages

If you don't list the arrests and DPS finds a record of them somewhere in a dusty basement, they can deny your CHL application.

Will they? Maybe. Maybe not. But if the offenses don't disqualify you, I think it's safer to list the arrests and include the no-record letter.
