Shoulder holster question - any ideas?

I'm thinking about a shoulder holster for ccw, especially for motorcycle riding this summer. Does anyone know of a rig for a 1911 than can be worn between a t-shirt and an overshirt (hawaiian or otherwise) without printing? I'm a big guy (5XLT) and wear loose-fitting shirts, but I'm concerned about the visibility of the straps and such under the shirt. I'd also consider the same carry method with Dockers and oxford shirts for the work week. Is this workable, or am I way off base? I'd appreciate any suggestions you have.

Thanks.

I shoulder carry & the shoulder straps have never been an issue.
My Mom shoulder carries a lot.
Most folks really worry tooooo much about the print issue.
Flintknapper is a pretty good sized young lad. He exclussively shoulder carries. I have never seen him any other mode. He is really our resident authority on shoulder rigs & carry.
Printing will not be an issue. Access is going to be your issue under a Hawaian shirt w/ a shoulder rig unless you have it unbuttoned.

Have a look at http://www.coronadoleather.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Their vests are pretty close to wearing a shoulder rig. Not as quick on the draw, but more secure. Of course it is it's own concealment. IIRC, all their vests have the interior carry pockets.

I've recently started using a Kangaroo Shoulder Holster.

Price is right - $30.00 delivered over the internet. It's quite comfortable too. Made of cotton and velcro.

Initially, one drawback for me is the rig tends to creep across somewhat from it's starting point. Like you want to, I started out using wearing it over a slick material, body armour style tee shirt and under my over shirt. (if you will)

Since then, I've tried a cotton tee shirt - same result.

Yesterday, I went without a tee shirt, felt a little weird at first, but quickly felt normal. The creep was almost gone entirely.

As Glocks have a Tenifer finish, I don't worry much about rust with it being against my bare skin, but I will now rub a bit of Brakefree on it more often than previously though. (I'm sure Brakefree is good for the skin...)

I was at a gun show recently, looking at shoulder holsters. I tried on one from Nelson Leather. It felt comfortable:

It looks comfortable. And you sure can't beat the price. Thanks for posting the url. :txflag:

I've tried the kangaroo and couldn't get past the feeling that it was going to fall out if I bent over the slightest bit. The drifting was another problem and I couldn't ever seem to get it tight enough.

Early on I also tried that Fobus rig with a double mag pouch set up for roto holsters. That didn't last long. Couldn't seem to get it adjusted right and the only way it felt somewhat comfortable was with the muzzle pointed up into my armpit. And it was hot to wear. I don't know where that thing is now.

I keep thinking I might try the Miami Classic, but seem to talk myself back into a should rig.
