With Senate Amendments.

Your knives will be safer come September, as long as Governor Perry signs it.

Great, Thanks Jim! :tiphat:

The Kershaw Blur I bought has been getting a good workout to make the deployment a bit smoother (kinda like dry firing a Smith). By the time September gets here it should be close to the muscle memory of the disengagement of a 1911 safety upon drawing! :smilelol5:

Am I the only one who reads about this bill and just wants to puke :???:

I mean seriously they had time to pass this thing so we can all buy our Wally World Kershaw in peace, but they can't pass the parking lot bill so the poor Walmart Employee getting off at 2am for the lonely drive home can keep the job while having a gun in their car. Never thought living in OK would be better than TX -go figure

This is in no way meant to suggest that the knife guys should not get theirs :biggrinjester:

I don't think it would be legal to whip out another appendage and use it to open your knife.

Seriously though, they only modified the existing switchblade law to allow auto assist knifes to be correctly identified as legal thereby eliminating the confusion and ambiguity of LEO's arresting for assisted opening knifes that they personally felt were the same thing as a switchblade.

I just found it strange that they specified what body parts where acceptable for knife opening.
