Is it just me? Why aren't these {people} giving, why aren't we demanding, repayment for saving/rebuilding their world for them?

Had the previous administration addressed the question above, we may not be stuck with the current administration. I am :grumble ...to say the least.

While I am of one of the few left who believe we needed to be there, it is because it was in our, and the freeworlds interest we cleansed the country of the Sodamned and his followers. I don't recall the Iraqi government or the people asking us to come in and invade their country. Bussiness arrangements where benefits are assigned because of political affiliations smack of socialism. Our businesses should compete on a level playing feel, not rewarded because of political favors. Bush insisted we got involved for security and freedom, not because of the oil. Despite the claims of the leftist Bush was honest and not the liar they made him out to be.

I must be missing something. :headscratch My Momma taught me to say thank you when anyone did me a favor or gave me a gift.

If we provided such a great service to the Iraqis by ridding them of their affliction and rebuilding the whole place, shouldn't a little gratitude be in order? OTOH, you're right, we did invade their country.

There's a difference between saying thanks and paying kickbacks.

Did we really invade because of oil and imperialism? Were the Obots right?
