The apparent violation raises the question of how the United States and its allies will respond, particularly since the U.N. resolution does not have a lot of teeth to it.

The resolution would not allow the United States to board the ship forcibly. Rather, U.S. military would have to request permission to board -- a request North Korea is unlikely to grant.
The UN once again demonstrates its uselessness.

You know what, I wouldn't put it pass that psychopath to try something like firing a missile at Hawaii. I think he knows he is just about history and wants to go out in a blaze of glory.

I am like you in that I am tired of his childish temper tantrums and would like to see him out of the picture for good, however, I can't help but feel compassion for the average people living in captivity with that nut. I was watching on tv the other day and they keep showing all of those stone face, people standing out there in the sun. They have been brainwashed from birth to believe it is the worlds fault that they are outcast and to hate everyone, especially America. It looks like they couldn't weigh more than 60 lbs and arms like toothpicks.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens next, but we may not have to wait much longer.

Sorry, I'm old... I just keep hearing the old platitudes... bomb NK, get China into the war...

But NK is starving its own people while the fat cats live like... OK, fat cats. Can we not take this guy "out", and I mean that in a totally non-violent, political, UN approved way... :evil2:

I'm just waiting to see how long it will take China to realize that if we get into any kind of mess with N. Korea the chances of us being able to pay them back their money significantly decreases. They're worried enough about it already. Throw in another war and see what our checkbook looks like.

I really wish someone would go ahead and put Kim Jong MentallyIll out of our misery. Too bad the current occupant of the White House is a dictator- and terrorist-appeasing wimp who doesn't have the backbone to do it.

It'd be hard for one Administration to condemn another, when that first Admin has full intentions of doing the same thing to "his" people that the second has done to "his."
