Fast food not fast enough?

Have you ever waited at the inside McDonalds counter while the drive through gets priority?

The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

A Denver police officer has been suspended after allegedly brandishing his gun at a McDonald's restaurant in Aurora after his order took too long to fill.
Aurora police confirmed the CBS4 investigation saying the incident occurred May 21 at the McDonald's at 18181 East Hampden Avenue.

A spokesperson for the Aurora Police Department said they plan to present the case -- now classified as a felony menacing incident -- to the Arapahoe County District Attorney's Office Thursday for possible filing of criminal charges.

Sources familiar with the case, and the fast food worker's account of what happened, say two off-duty Denver police officers placed an order from their car in the early morning hours of May 21. But once at the drive through window, the employee said the men became agitated and angry at how long their food was taking. The men thought they were being ignored, according to contacts familiar with the worker's account. The male clerk then said one of the officer's flashed his police badge and pointed a pistol through the drive through window in a threatening manner, before driving off without paying.

Both officers are assigned to Denver International Airport although only one has been placed on administrative leave with pay, pending the outcome of the case.

Why would anyone be in that much of a hurry to get McDonald's food??

Perhaps the officer thought the McD's employee was going to pour hot-coffee in his lap, and was fearful for his life.

The same kind of Philistine who would prefer Dunkin' Donuts coffee to Starbucks, and a Dunkin' Donut to a Krispy Kreme. "rlol"

They'll probably use the Twinkie defense.

Dunkin coffee is pretty good.

McD coffee is mediocre but it's much better than the food!

WRONG!!! on the first count, right on the second. I always thought McDonalds coffee had a pretty passable flavor for a roadside joint. Let's just say it beats your average truck stop brew by far, border to border, coast to coast and all points in between. But you can keep that latest cuppachino stuff they came out of the closet with. McDonalds had great fries, too, until it switched grease types. Now the garden worms won't eat the leftovers.

We were just talking about "stupidity" on another thread and I think it fits here also.

I use to stop at McD's when I was traveling across country with my two small girls. The main reason was they had pretty clean restrooms and I could watch who ever went in there. The kids got junk and I got coffee...the coffee wasn't to bad after you have driven for several hours.

Can't speak about the coffee and I can only eat breakfast from Mickey D's. I think the last time I had a hamburger from them was the McDLT back in 1986.

I drive a lot.
McDonalds has better coffee than what I have found in 90 % of the restaurants. And they generally have clean bathrooms.
My favorite place to have breakfast is early morning with my wife in the parking lot of Galveston's Mc Donalds. Anyone who has done the same would surely understand.

While they don't have a great lobster and steak dinner, and better hamburgers can be found most anywhere. The fries are as good as anyplace, and when on the road in a strange place, it works.

My wife tells me the flavored coffees are terrible, I wouldn't know they aren't real coffee to me and I won't touch them
