It is the responsibility of the freight forwarder(shipping company) to inspect ALL goods loaded into a container, or a box, or a trailer. It's the law! It's corrupt shipping companies that are allowing this.

hmm why don't they state how many can not be traced, or how many can.

Authorities don't know how many firearms get through, but more than 12,000 guns used in crimes in Mexico last year were sent to U.S. authorities for tracing, a number that grows as more agencies in Mexico are trained to submit traces.

what does that have to do with anything, they only send guns they think came from the USA and of those <10% are traced to the USA. Why not tell us how many guns are used in crimes that come from south of the border, or from the mexican police, or how many are used in crimes in general.

Why don't these countries try to solve there own problems, by letting law abiding citizens buy, carry and use guns for self defense? seems to be working here.

Mexican/Jamaican politicians are simply cooperating with anti-gun American politicians.

"You third world countries want your aid to continue? Then sound off about American guns flooding your countries and the aid will flow your way..."

It a new anti-gun tactic.

The people bootlegged into the U.S. are votes for the present, and hopefully shortlived, administration. These folk have demonstrated over and over that they'll say or do anything for the votes.

I'm afraid all of the scenarios posted here are very close to being true. The politicians that are in control right now will stop at nothing to get their way.
