I thought somewhere around Houston there was a place where they sold nothing, but reloading systems/equipment. I could be wrong, but any help on where you guys shop for these things would be great. Online recommendations welcomed...

This will be my first attempt reloading my own ammo.

Online - - - Midway and Graf's for tools etc. Powder and primers, Powder Valley. Bullets whoever has what I need.

If you want to buy in Houston then try 10Ring. http://www.10ring.com/ The store is full of reloading supplies and equipment and prices are fairly competitive.

I've had real good luck with Midway for just about anything I need.

For what it's worth: In my opinion you will be better off buying a progressive press and learning how to use it from the get go. I got a standard single stage RCBS Rock Chucker and all the accessories needed and had a great time with it. Trouble was that after awhile it got to be tedious expending four strokes of the press for each finished round. I found myself wishing for a progressive press every time I had a batch of brass to reload but I thought I had too much tied up in the single stage set up to afford to switch. Finally I found a used Dillon 550B progressive press that was in my price range and it's made all the difference.

I've sold off my single stage press and the accessories that can't be used with the Dillon so the cost was not too bad but I'd have been better off in the long run buying a brand new Dillon to begin with. I find I make time to get to the range a lot more often than before because I can turn out a couple of hundred rounds of ammo for just about an hour's worth of work.
