All I got to say is you never know when it will happen.
Luckily I backed up all my important data a week ago. SO I only lost about a weeks worth of work.
This is just a friendly reminder to...
BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP.

I can vouch for drop box. Its not just back up but a great way to keep files between machines.

lol I made my backup policy years and years ago, maybe around 2002 lol.
everytime I format and reinstall I dump all my stuff onto a HD, label it and throw it on a bookshelf. So its usually a backup every 6 to 2 years. I've got everything I've ever done going back almost to the year 2000 minus some small stuff.
of course for important things, I save it to my HD, backup to my portable HD thats kept with me at all times, and have another external drive that I keep in a very secure location lol.

Actually, all my 'important' data goes on my Raid5 2.5TB Fileserver In the closet. The OS drives on all my computers (mine, wife's, 2 laptops) are losable pretty much. If they die, I'll be angry that I have to reinstall, but thats about it.

I have a few servers in data centers across the country in which I maintain off-site storage for the most critical of stuff, as well as my own datacenter here at my work here in Houston I use to store important work-related documents.
But, no, I don't have
all my pictures and stuff backed up off-site.
If my house was burning down, I'd grab the fileserver on the way out if possible ;)
But all my irreplacable documents are in fireproof boxes as well.
