Resending Pictures.........

As mentioned on a previous thread, I found out I'm going to need new pictures to send in. My application status still says "processing application", but the lady at DPS told me they were sending me out a letter requesting them. My question is, do I have to wait for the letter to send in the pictures, or can I go ahead and mail them off before the letter gets here?

Did you make a face?
I had trouble with my passport photo because I favor my right eye and thus my face was turned.
The CHL picture was worse, but they took it, no prob.
I'd probably wait for the letter, because there may be processing instructions..

Let came in. The pictures were too "blurry". That's an understatement. I didn't really give it much notice, until they came back and I compared them to my new ones I had done. Off it goes in the mail today!

Well, don't pat the DPS too hard on the back just yet.

I took the CHL class with my father-in-law and my wife's best friend. All three of us have had our app held up for something. My father-in-law didn't have the pictures signed by the fingerprinter, my wife's best friend had her FBI prints come back, and my picture was too blurry. We may start a bet of which one of us walks away with our permit first! Although, I know as soon as we bet, that'll make me come in last. Lady luck goes my way more often that not, unless there is money on the line.
