Wedding proposal locations

A co-worker is trying to figure out how to propose to "the girl of his dreams"! He was thinking taking her to CO, but then decided to keep it local; day trip from Houston area. I suggested Natural Bridge Caverns. Although with the way the Astros are playing his proposing on the jumbo screen might be the highlight of the game!
Any suggestions for the love-birds?

I tired to propose to mine on one of the River-walk boats in San Antonio. Got so nervous I couldn't do it there and ended up proposing in front of the waterfall along the walkway. Not terribly romantic, but it was nice. There were some girls on a boat passing just that moment that realized what was happening and when my GF said yes, jumped to grab me around the neck, and kiss me the whole boat erupted in applause. It was cool.

Being so close to the Gulf, I'd think a trip to Galveston would be romantic. Walking on the shoreline at twilight, barefoot, letting the waves lap over your feet, and proposing that way. That's what I envisioned for my bride to be 40 years ago, but things didn't work out like I had planned.

gun range, where else?
while the burnt powder residue is still in the air, of course.

This may be obvious, but let me suggest, DON'T propose in a public place unless you are sure you already know what the answer will be.
But, if you are going to do it in public, then yes, the gun range is the most romantic place on earth.

Why do you think my wife married me? Certainly not because of my looks!
Uhhh....thanks I think.

Bonus points if you spell out the question in bullet holes on her target

In all reality I think I would ask another woman what would be best. Romantic for a man verses a woman can be light years apart. I do not think the ballpark is the best place to propose, but that is just me. Remember, he is doing it for the girl, not for himself. Places like BassPro, Gander Mountain, Bubbas Offroad world, Pitts and SPits may not be what your girl likes (and then again maybe it is).

You Know You're In A Redneck Church......
WHEN the pastor says, "I'd like to ask Bubba to help take up the offering," five guys and two women stand up.

There are milestone events in a relationship; things that were really important to getting to where you are now. He could take her around and revisit those throughout the day - going backwards either symbolically or physically. Then propose wherever they first really hit it off. All the memories of being together and doing stuff, yada yada..
Hopefully the gun range is part of that equation!

Were it ME......a ring in an ammo box opened at the range would be perfect, HOWEVER...these two individuals are not exactly 'gunny' types (not anti-at least not him, just not that into it).

I'll suggest The Riverwalk and Galveston to him as possibilities.
