30.06 at Doctors Hospital in Dallas

I was at Doctors Hospital on Garland and Buckner in Dallas today to pick up my mother after a minor procedure and was met at the entrance with a 30.06 sign. Having not been at that hospital for many years, I had left my gun in the Jeep and it saved me a trip back to put the weapon away. I was a bit surprised because I have been to several medical facilities in the metroplex visiting friends and had never run into this before.

Was it fully compliant?
Cypress Medical Center right near my home has 30.06 signs as well, but the lettering is only maybe 1/2" high. Non-complaint.

I think many of them are compliant or close enough that I can't afford the risk. There are also many that have old signs that simply say it is illegal to carry in a hospital. These don't know any better and I have no intention of educating them.
I think there are very few that are not posted at all or that only have the standard unlicensed possession or gunbuster sign.

Inasmuch as you're denied

the right to protect you and yours, perhaps the Hospital Administrator and/or one of the Administrator's Directors could escort you and your mother to and from the parking area?
