btw, i have no affiliation at all with woot.com. I'm not a woot salesman and I don't play one on TV or in online forums, just thought it was a good deal. :) The fact that you can buy anything electronic for $20 that will survive that kind of abuse is really impressive.

That really is a great deal! I just wish I needed another flashlight. We have power losses about 6 or 7 times/year. I now have flashlights in every room of the house, including bathrooms.

Yeah, I HATE it when the power goes out while I'm in the bathroom.

i have every size maglite made .

however , this new LED technology blows my old maglites away .

i have this one that fits great in my pocket .
the white light output is outstanding . and it only costs $ 24.99

totally agree! I have 3 maglites, 3C cell, 2AA's. The rest are LED's. I have an LED 'miner's light', the one you can put on your head that's my fav. I've had it going on 3 years, and have yet to change the batteries.

thats another problem .
if you leave the old style maglites laying around too long , the batteries go dead or corrode .

Thanks for the heads up. We were talking about needing another flashlight just last night.

Now I will have an excuse to get some nightvision gear
