The above link contains the doctor's picture and detailed descriptions of 3 vehicles that
contained the killers.
These guys are definitely bad news. They murdered the doctor, shot his ranchhand (severely
wounded but hanging on), then they shot at a LEO while making their getaway.
Call the Austin County Sheriff’s Office at 979-865-3111 if you see any of these vehicles.
Stay safe out there. Make sure you have an extra mag or 2.

Two busted.
The two who were busted were brothers of the ranch hand who was killed.

The ranch hand wasn't killed. He's still in the hospital.

Thanks for the link and the clarifying comment.
The doctor was smart to have a handgun.
His downfall was that he did not have his handgun on his person or
in his vehicle. If he could have engaged the BG's right away, this could
have turned out very differently.
All men are lessened by the death of any one man, but being a heart doctor
he has probably helped a lot of people enjoy their grandchildren for extra years.

The ranch hand who was shot apparently recovered. He was charged with murder and arrested in September. I just ran across a link to the story while reading something else.

I have a doctor friend in the valley area. This MO is common south and north of the area; Kidnap , small ramson and no LEO. He drives an old truck, travels with friends and family (all with CHL)

. The doctor in Houston did the right things but just had bad luck.
