CHL Picture

Post by 03Lightningrocks »

If I don't like my CHL picture, is there some way to change it? I look like a terrorist and I am afraid I will scare a police officer if I get pulled over. Thinking about it...I look like that mob assassin, Ice Man....help...what if I just paste a better picture over the bad picture?

If the picture does not scare your Mom you should be okay.

At least they took your photo... they rejected mine (said it was too big). Cost me two weeks of processing time

Too big???? Wow! I didn't know that could happen if you were getting photos done by your instructor.

No guarantees just like getting fingerprints done by your instructor.

Yup my instructor goofed it up. I can't remember if it was the actual dimensions of the photo or how "close up" the photo was taken.

Can you get a new picture if you pay the $25 fee?

If you look at the photo sheet in the application packet, the photo size guideline is VERY specific. The pictures overall needs to be 2"x2" with the image (you) meeting the size and fill requirement. They don't give us much information in the DPS class on HOW to make the pictures right. I bought a stand alone printer that does passport size doubles on a 5X7 photo paper, and took pictures of my wife, son, dog, neighbor (what a cutie!) and printed them until I worked out the lighting and position. I used some pintape to mark the display on the camera, so I can align with the subject to get chin and top of head in the right place. Examine your photos carefully before leaving class. Make sure there is no flash glare from eyewear, no hat, no redeye and it fits the dimensions on the photo signature sheet. I finally gave up inking in class, they want them pretty much perfect, and L-1 charges less that 10 bucks for perfect prints - every time.

I liked mine and wanted to find out if I can replace my driver's license photo with it ... "rlol" :smilelol5:
Image
(No, that really isn't my picture, but it's VERY similar, but my beard and hair are longer and cover more of the parts of my face which my glassses don't cover... surprised they accepted it since it really shows no facial features etc.)
My driver's license photo from about 10 years ago (renewed online) when I worked in the law office was more of a short-haired, clean shaven hairless guy in a suit picture which looks nothing like me now.
