All allegedly, reportedly, etc.

In Scituate, Massachusetts (Boston area), a pair of teenage brothers spent the night with a girl whose parents were out of town.

When the homeowner returned, he found that his Sentry safe, which contained a .38 Special Smith & Wesson revolver, was missing.

A few days later, a 16-year-old male was brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. His relatives said that he had been shot by an intruder.

Their stories fell apart. It seems the two teenagers were playing "Russian roulette" with the stolen revolver, and the 16-year-old shot himself. Police found the weapon in a park.

Saturday, the 55-year-old mother and 18-year-old brother of the self-inflicted shooting victim were charged with multiple felony-level offenses.

Police will consider charges against the minor when he is discharged from the hospital.

A lot of people who have absolutely no experience with firearms will pick one up and immediately pull the trigger. I don't know exactly what model it was, but a lot of the S&W .38 Specials have light triggers.

I don't understand how those kids could play Russian roulette with a live round if they weren't on hallucinogens. I wonder if they were videotaping it for Youtube. :???:

I'm not sure it's covered in the above news story link, but when the brothers were
playing Russian Roulette, the first one pointed it to his head, pulled the bang button
and was lucky enough to land on an empty.

The 2nd brother then took the gun and pointed it to his leg, pulled the trigger, and gave
himself a new beauty mark.

There wasn't a comment as to whether the 2nd brother spun the cylinder.

But these guys are totaly morons. Playing Russian Roulette - sheesh!
