NC: Homeowner charged for shooting at fleeing robbers

In Greensboro, North Carolina, yesterday afternoon, two teenage males allegedly tried to break into an occupied home. They fled when they saw the homeowner. He shot at them as they were fleeing. Apparently, none of the shots did any damage.
Police arrested one juvenile and charged him with "attempted breaking and entering and possession of burglary tool."
Police also charged the homeowner with discharging a firearm within city limits.

Discharging a firearm within city limits is usually a minor misdemeanor. IMHO, this guy is lucky that his aim was off.
