I wouldn't have cheated to begin with...so I don't feel sorry for him.

Reminiscent of the scarlet letter. To me, it doesn't seem like much of a punishment, as I'm shameless. I wonder if he met any new gals to cheat on?
I say that in jest, but I wouldn't be surprised. Seems like he got off pretty easy...well, until the news media got to him.

I am reminded of what Dick Cheney said after Bill and Hillary "made up" subsequent to some of his dalliances being made public. It was something along the lines of "If I had done that to Lynne, I'd have found myself lying on the floor in a pool of my own blood, with Lynne standing over me, saying 'How the <blank> do I reload this <blankety-blank> thing?'"

Integrity first.... - well - that fixed that! I remember "The Burning Bed" with Farrah. Guys - you gotta sleep sometime. You will pay...for a long time...so don't do it!

The news story says that he will have had 3 days of public humiliation
and maybe more.
The wife may just keep him on the corner permanently so that she can meet a
new man!

Seems to me that his willingness to accept this means he really has repented. If he wasn't sorry, he wouldn't have agreed.
I hope she follows through with forgiveness. If she does, their relationship just might be salvageable.

I've always felt that it takes two to cheat, the actual cheater and the partner in the marriage that let the marriage bed get so boring that the first party felt the urge to stray.
I don't cheat either and have never felt the "need" but I can sympathize.
A dude wearing a sign on the street is not the way to save a marriage. It has been my experience that only prayer and hard work can save a marriage. Mostly prayer.
I bet she leaves him anyway.

HaHAHaHAhahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!
I hope she's been in contact with a divorce attorney while he's been out on the corner.
EDIT: to add something of value, perhaps, to the discussion, I'll offer that I generally agree with TDDude, with exceptions. Sometimes it's not bedroom inadequacies that lead to it, there are other dynamics on emotional and intimacy levels that manifest the "cheating" symptom in a broken relationship.

This was a hoax, a radio station used him to see if this would make the headlines.

I thought it was Dick
Armey who said something along those lines . . .
