Title says it all. I'm actually looking for a side by side. I have not idea what I am going to do with it but I always wanted to own one. Would like to get one that won't break the bank. Any thoughts on Yildiz?

I love mine. It does kick since it is very light.

CZ makes some decent, affordable SxS double guns, but you really didn't define the term "break the bank", nor define the use.... self defense only, multi-purpose, or a bird gun?

I would buy this one (even though it is O/U), you cannot beat the price and Stoeger is supposed to be a decent gun (Although I have never owned one). This one got a good review but I cannot remember where I read the review. If the link doesn't work go to texasguntrader.com and search for condor. Sports Authority has it new for 309.

I'm fairly new to the shotgun world myself, and I have been very happy with my Remington 870 pump. I understand you are looking for a SxS but the 870 is very versatile. Home Defense, skeet shooting, Doves, Hogs, just about anything. There are all sorts of accessories, lights, different barrels, heat shields, and all sorts of stocks. Personally, I like my express with a wood stock and an 18.5 inch barrel. It's nothing fancy, but sits in the corner next to my bed and makes me feel very safe.

From what I've seen the best prices are on the 20 guage dbles. I would try Vega they seem to have descent stuff. Try places like Academy or walmart or even a pawn shop if you're willing to have it checked out. But you gotta keep in mend what, where and how much you plan to shoot as well as what loads. A quality "cheap" gun is usaully designed to shoot well but not often. Like rossi revolvers with plus p loads. They can handle it but not too much of it. Hope this helps.

I'll put in a vote for Stoeger. I just bought the Condor O/U for $350 and have been nothing but happy with it.

Forget waht I said earlier go with what those other 2 guys said, go with the Stoeger. I just read an article about their dbl and it has an accessory rail on top and bottom, and its btween $300 and $400 msrp which means you can probably get it cheaper at the gunshop. It really looks cool to. Kinda got me want'n 1. Anyhow check it out.

the Stoeger may be fine, if you don't plan on volume shooting. From what I understand from a couple of friends that bought them 5-6 years ago, and a lot of internet chatter, the steel used in the Stoeger guns can be a bit soft. The guys I know had a bit of trouble with the "lock up" after a few thousand rounds. Sounds like a lot of shooting? Not really that much if you shoot sporting clays and bird hunt.
