App Transferred to Legal Dept

Howdy Y'all,

I've had my app in for a little while, online it showed processing on July 17th.

I called DPS earlier this week, the lady that answered said it was being worked on by Technician so and so, she transferred me to her line, of course she didn't answer so I left a message. Her message emphatically said she would return my phone call, but she never did.

Today I called to followup and the lady answered told my my app had been forwarded to the legal department. She transferred me, and again, no one answered and I left another message.

Now I'm nervous, does anyone know if that a good thing, or a bad thing? (I can't think of anything good ever coming out of a legal department!)

Oh well, just wondering and waiting like everyone else.

Hi rdhetrick, welcome to the forum! Glad to have you with us.

The only thing that comes to mind, is something popped up in your background check...run ins with the law, protective orders, state/local liens, perhaps delinquent student loans(although those grounds for disqualification are going away as of Sept. 1), or health/psychological reasons.

Beyond that I just don't know. Sorry.

Someone finally called me back today. What a tremendous help she was.....All she could tell me was my application was transferred to the legal department last week, and assigned to an attorney yesterday. I asked several more questions, in different ways, and she kept saying the same thing....application was transferred to legal last week, and an attoney was assigned yesterday. I'm speechless, that's all I can say....wow....
