My application was signed for 10 days ago, but my online status still lists "packet sent applicant". How long does it normally take for them to open the mail and get started!

My renewal packet took just over a month to be "received" by them and then show "Application in Progress".

Word is, they hired 50 temp people a couple weeks ago to start helping.

I think mine was at or about 42 days, but that was back in April. They have supposedly hired a bunch of new people to take care of this.

i have seen as little as 12 days lately .
mine took 6 weeks back in April

thanks all...I knew this would take a while, but didn't think receiving would be the hold up!

check out my timeline. I think it was about 10-12 days. Those timelines are great for keeping track of the days.

So it is now right around 30 days since they received my application, and yet my online status has not changed. Should I call them at this point?

They received mine on 9/1/09, my online status says "packet mailed...". I called Friday and "they" told me to give it another week or so, she said it is running about 3-4 weeks before they change the status (not that you are gonna get "plastic" any faster, but your status should change!).
I will call them later this week if no change to see what is going on.

it will probably change in the next week . back in April , mine took 5 or maybe even 6 weeks to change .
