1927 - Philo T. Farnsworth transmitted an image electronically. It was the first demonstration of the technology that became television.
Farnsworth was thrown under the train of history by corporate interests.
1940 - The Nazi military began bombing London. The bombing continued for 57 consecutive nights.

These attacks may not have been the deadliest terrorist attacks in history, but they killed over 50,000 people and caused incalculable destruction. They did not destroy the fighting spirit of the British people.
