The future Mrs. thorkyl and I just completed a 3600+ mile 5 State 6 day trip

Only saw one Wally World so we did every Loves truck stop we got fuel at.
We did do one actual Wally Walk in central Utah.

No photos but a very well traveled 1911 and PT111 pro

As a side note

Asked 531 random people the following questions

Are you happy with the Presidents job
No = 67%
Yes = 33%

Did you vote for BO
No = 47%
Yes = 40%

Will BO bankrupt the US
No = 20%
Yes = 70%

Do you support the 2nd Amendment
No = 12%
Yes = 74%

Will BO remove the 2nd Amendment
No = 10%
Yes = 71%

Will BO try to destroy the Constitution
No = 44%
Yes = 60%

At least 11% of the people you surveyed are confused. :crazy:

My Dearly Beloved (Her Royal Majesty) just asked me if I had done my Wally Walk yet!!!! :shock: :shock:

I have my children this weekend and have been carrying all day. None have figured it out yet. Of course at 14, 15, and 17, they are past the hugging stage. Now when we go somewhere together, they want to be as far from their "nerdy" old Dad as possible. One of them actually asked me once if I had ever been "cool" one single day in my life.......I told him I have a leather jacket, a Cadillac, a Harley and a Hottie wife. How cool do I have to be? He was actually speechless for 20 minutes. My two other children were laughing their tails off..... :coolgleamA:

I may take the children out for the "Wally Walk". Make it a family thing....the boys have already shot my 9mm at the range, and did pretty darn well. I think it speaks volumes that they behaved themselves so well. I was VERY serious in my briefing prior to leaving the house and while at the range.

And they don't think I'm "cool"..... :coolgleamA: :fire :coolgleamA: :fire

My daughter (17) said her boyfriend (19) wanted to meet me, but he was scared. I said that was a good thing. She said I couldn't be cleaning all my guns when they came over.........I told her I wouldn't be cleaning ALL of them...... :fire :fire :fire

All you need (well, for this scenario anyway) is one. Greet him at the door while you are "cleaning it", I bet he will get the idea! She is yours - not his!

Hooyah!

I finally wound up meeting this "young man" the other day when I picked up my kids from the ex. I drove up and here was Skippy the Cave Troll lip locked with my daughter......neither saw or heard me until I pulled up right next to them and laid on the horn. A sight I will never forget.........

They split apart, Skippy looked around in panic, my daughter jumped so high I thought she'd have to get some oxygen from the space station, and then started crying when I got out of the car.......

She calmed down and went inside to see her mother while little Skippy and I had a chat in the front yard............I've never heard so many "Sir"'s in my entire life, including my 10 years in the Navy........Probaby 20% of what I said entered into Skippy's little noggin, the rest was fear.

Not a bad start, in my book.......

I think you put the fear into him my friend. GOOD JOB! A Dad needs to nip those things in the bud before they get out of hand. :nono:

:thumbs2:

My friend, get used to them as they are just beginning. But knowing you(and the Mrs like I imagine), you've raised your children well. And you teach your children well, also. (but if you ever need back up, just give me a call. ;-) )
