Auto Insurance issue

I have all my insurance Life,Home,Auto and a credit card with company ABC, I got this email the other day in regards to my son who is 20 years old and in the Marine Corps in California. Tell me what you think I personaly am angry with them, what do you think? Read below start at bottom read up.
As you stated "Texas passed a law in 2007 that requires all drivers who obtain a driver's license to carry insurance" since he is an adult, not living in my house not driving my vehicles and DOES NOT HAVE A DRIVER LICENSE how is this any concern of mine or State Farm's. I consider this a violation of my privacy as well as his and nothing more than State Farm trying to squeeze some more money from me. Now if this is a problem for State Farms underwriting, I will gladly take all my insurance and banking needs and go somewhere else.

I understand you feelings, but Texas passed a law in 2007 that requires all drivers who obtain a driver's license to carry insurance. His license has been tagged as having your address on his license, so if you could please send us his contact information and we will call him and collect is his insurance information. Otherwise, based on the information underwriting will conduct a review of the policy and determine how he should be rated on your policy.

Kenneth joined the Marine corp 2 years ago has not resided in Tx since that time. If you want information regarding him then please contact him, as for proof of insurance for him he is an adult and not my responsibility. I don't know where you get your information but it is flawed and not my responsibility to correct it.

Get away from SF as soon as you can. I had problems with them too. As you might know, they use credit rating information these days to rate risk for insurability sake. Well, the insurance industry, as I understand it, has their own "insurance credit rating". When my company relocated me from the Chicagoland area back to TX 3+ years ago, they put me up in a corporate apartment for a couple of months until my house was completed.
Since that time, there has been another un-related individual, with the same last name as mine (very common), that has occupied that same apartment. She had an accident, which stemmed a credit search on her credit record. Somehow, since I had the same last name, and had been at that same address previously, they linked her accident record and flawed credit to my very clean credit record. My insurance premium went up (completely unadvised) as a result. I am considering some legal action against them, but I took all my insurance needs to Farm Bureau. My premiums were cut in half!!!
I HIGHLY recommend Farm Bureau.

I was contacted about 2 months ago by the credit union that carries the note on my RV. They told me that they had done an audit and needed proof that I had insurance on my RV in 2007! They promptly informed me that if I could not show proof of insurance, they would take insurance out for me and charge me for it! I cannot state my response to them on this forum but fortunately for them, my spouse (who has much more patience than I) contacted our insurance carrier and provided the required paperwork. Sometimes I wonder...

Actually I had an idea for how to handle insurance
When you get a license, the insurance you get is ON THE LICENSE, thus if you let your liability insurance lapse on your license it is in effect "null/void"
If you want comprehensive, then that goes towards the vehicle
This way anyone with a license in TX must pay liability to keep their license...if everyone actually KEPT their insurance up the prices would drop because total revenue would be up instead of buying a month by month policy and letting it lapse just to get a registration or vehicle inspected. Plus liability insurance could then be properly based upon age groups and risk groups instead of what type of car you drive...yadda yadda, and total cost is directly reflective of YOUR driving habits and not of your spouse or kid, they want to speed...THEIR personal liability insurance goes up.
It wouldn't be too hard, the insurance companies would report to TXDOT who has insurance up to date on their licenses, and it would be tied into the license database the officers pull from...if you are in a vehicle and your liability is lapsed..you get a tow right then and there and get arrested for "driving w/o a license"
Then you could drive ANY vehicle and if an incident occurred at least you would have liability insurance in the situation.
