I always wonder about this. On my way to work and back I drive through a rather long school zone. Probably takes 5 minutes to go through, there is one turn in to the school and another intersection about a mile down on this road. There are always LEOs waiting for that one jerk to come speeding through. My question: If you get pulled over in a school zone do you pull over immediately or do you drive the long slow distance to get out of it since you are carrying. Not sure how a LEO would like it if you wouldn't stop right away and just kept going for a mile.

No need. You are not on the school "premises". You can be outside [the School structure/building] in your vehicle while carrying. See other threads regarding this subject for additional clarification.

I learned the hard way. ALWAYS stop immediately if a LEO has you lit up, but only when it's safe to do so. And it doesn't matter if you are in a school zone or not.

Even if you have to stop in the roadway, stop. Continuing to drive could give the LEO cause to gig you for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, or something similar.

Thats what I figured, I never speed through there anyways. This is a difficult road to stop on, this morning some lady got pulled over and she stopped on the side, parents dropping off their kids usually wait in line in this lane so they started going around and backing up traffic. My normal 10 minute drive to work (including coffee stop) turned into 35 minutes. Only thing about school zone speed limits... doesn't it seem like the perfect cruising speed for child molesters.

CHL holders can legally carry a gun in a "School Zone" as long as they are not in the "premises" which is defined as a building. So, if you get pulled over in a school zone you should pull over as soon as it is safe to do so.

I would suggest you dig into your CHL Handbook and continue to ask questions here if you have any. Sometimes, when we are not confronted much with certain parts of the law we get confused about what is and is not legal. Also, use the search feature where you will find most questions you may think of have been answered more than once.
