Congressman Fleming (Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt). Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and sign his petition (very simple - just first, last and email). I have immediately done just that at:
http://fleming.house.gov/index.html
You betcha I went to the site. And I filled in my address too - so he can tell our folks what's up!

Amendments such as this have been proposed numerous times and every one has been shot down by Democrats in committee.

His proposal would be tantamount to equal protection under the law. I don't think that's allowed.

politically, I will NOT play the "If I have to, then so do you" type game. I'd rather not give up on the "You're NOT going to MAKE ME" game.
NO COMPROMISES!

That would be nice, especially if they extend it to include retirement plans. Get rid of all those government pensions and replace them with IRA and other defined contribution plans available to the taxpayers who foot the bill for government.
While I agree with surv philosophically, there are good practical reasons to attack on more than one front.
