Georgetown/Williamson County Questions

What can anyone tell me (good, bad, or indifferent) about gun stores, places to shoot, basically anything gun related about Georgetown/Williamson County? I know that STI Firearms is in Georgetown, which can't hurt if you're a 1911 fan. I've read of two gun stores in the area--Hill Country Gun Exchange in Georgetown and Texas Gun Store in Cedar Park--but haven't seen any specifics on either store. I've also read about a range in Leander, but haven't seen any specifics on that either. Any information anyone can provide will be appreciated.

I think the range in Leander is Eagle Creek. Outdoor range. Friends and family go there and seem to like it. I've never been.
The Gun Store (aka "Texas Gun Store") in Cedar Park is right around the corner from my house. Small selection of stuff, kind of typical gun store prices (that is, 20% or so above Bud's Gun Shop prices, astronomical used gun prices). Kind of nice guys. Mall ninja feel to the place. I have bought a handful of things there and nearly bought a Kahr pistol there. Haven't been to any other gun stores in the Williamson County area but the above-mentioned store is very near to Travis County.

other range in the general Liberty Hill/Florence area is Astro. Good range, like it better than Eagle Peak and heard it is better than Stan's (though I've not been to Stan's), but it is a lot farther away from the suburban Cedar Park/Leander/Round Rock areas.
In addition to STI, LaRue Tactical is based in Leander area. But I don't think they have much of anything open to the public.
Other gun store to check out is Blackland Guns on Highway 79 between Hutto and Taylor. Nice guys. They're having some trouble with the state's plans to expand 79 and have been forced to move their store out of the nicer building next to the road to a smaller facility behind it. When they were in the larger store, they had a great selection of "Evil Black (and desert tan) Rifles" and a lot of other stuff. Last time I was there, they were in the middle of moving things around and the new building was a bit of a mess. I think they're closed Mondays (and also either Sundays or Tuesday, but now can't remember). They often have a little 2x4 ad in the Statesman.
Also nearby you can check out Austin Gun Liquidators in Round Rock/Pflugerville area (technically in Travis County, I believe, but close to the county line). Nice guy, decent prices (better than "typical" gun shop). And of course Red's Indoor Range in Pflugerville (definitely Travis County) has a large gun/supply selection and 20 indoor shooting lanes.
There's also a little gun shop in far north Austin near the county line at Anderson Mill and US 183 in the Compass Bank shopping center (northeast corner). Small, typical inflated prices, decent selection of used long guns (but nothing interesting enough for me to buy). They were really jacking up the prices on what little ammo they had last time I was there during the peak of the ammo shortage.
That's about it that I can think of, other than what has already been mentioned. This is probably why I find myself taking so many trips to GT Distributors, McBride's, and even Cabelas when I need something more than Academy has to offer.
Old real estate rumors from before the recession were that Bass Pro Shops might open a store in the general Georgetown/Round Rock area along I-35 (likely near 1431), but I think those rumors are long dead by now. Who knows when, or even if, they'll start up again.
