I shuddered at all the dangerous muzzle sweeping and fingers on the trigger, though!!

The history of the Khyber Pass is incredible. This is truely the "Home Field Advantage." I really don't think an outsider can make a long-lasting impression on the area or people. Unfortunately, plenty of people died trying and they are still trying and dying.

All the Pashtun tribesmen outside the FOB wouldn't be caught dead without some sort of firearm.

Hey, I made a funny. Ha-ha.

Seriously, even young boys carried around the most gawdawful looking variants on AK's and pistols that I have ever seen. And the really good wife (wives) would be sure to carry extra guns and ammo, either on top of their noggin or on a camel-back.
