Set up. At Cabelas there is a Lee aniversory kit for like $80 or 90. Is there any other suggestions. I will be reloading 9mm and .40 and .223/5.56.

I love my RL550B by Dillon... I reload 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, .357, .44 Mag, 22-250, and .223 and love it!

Before going with this, talk to Marty at Cabela's or here on the forum. He is THE reloading guy and can help you make sure get the proper tools to start you out right so you won't be frustrated in getting started and having problems.

You beat me to it. Marty is "The Guy" you want to talk to.

I just recently started reloading and talked with a few friends that have been doing it for many years. They both recommended the RCBS press and kit. I bought the RCBS rock chucker supreme kit and have since loaded .223, 7mm rem Mag, .45 acp, and 243 win. I have all RCBS dies and love the kit. I now have loaded over 500 rounds and have no complaints.
My next venture is to try and reload 2,000 .223 rounds for my AR-15. They are Lake City military brass and I will have to swage the primer pocket so I can remove the crimp. Doesn’t seem to be a very difficult thing but certainly time consuming.
Good luck with your choice, I’m sure Cabela’s will point you in the right direction

. That’s were I bought my kit from…..

Marty didn't retire from Cabela's. He retired TO Cabela's!
He used to have a real job. Now he "works" at Disneyland for shooters.

Sometimes I get stuff like that mixed up.

I knew Cabellas was in there somewhere though.

I've been using basically the same model press for reloading several calibres from 9mm to 270Win for about 18 yrs. I do have a Dillon 550 for high volume pistol, but the point is that the Lee press will do fine.
IF I had to do it over, I would probably start with a heavier duty single stage press like an RCBS (plus the Dillon, of course).
For dies I prefer Dillon and Hornady.

Thanx, I picked up a lymann kit yesterday afternoon. I still have some of the "other" things to get. Dies, tumbler, and consumables. I am also planning on starting on building a "Bullet Bench", can some of you post up pics of your layout?

There are 38 pages of reloading bench photos and discussion here:

Someday I hope to have a setup worth photographing :-)

What?!? I thought they were no longer carrying them in store. When I called the Buda store 2 weeks ago, the gal said they were all "discontinued" in store, and had no more on the shelf.
Well, I went to the website and found a nice little "Free shipping on orders over $150" notice. So I ordered the Lee Deluxe Turret Kit, .45 Auto dies, and a spare turret (for some .38 special fun) and had it shipped right to me. Turns out I didn't have to spend the gas money to get to Cabela's, nor was I tempted to impulse buy another firearm (Dagnabbit!).
Now I've just got to get the bench set up. And get some powder. And a tumbler. And a caliper. And a bullet puller. And a manual or two. Yepper, I'm just about ready to start up the assembly line.

Thanks for the invite. I'll do just that as the process unfolds.
