Irony about NRA alert sent about Meeting Dan Patrick

I recieived the following news alert from NRA about a meeting with Dan Patrick. Is it me or could NRA not find a "more gun friendly" place to thank Dan Patrick on his help with the parking lot and college carry legislation that did not pass this past year???? Just make sure you do not take your concealed carry.
Please Attend a Town Hall Meeting for
State Senator Dan Patrick
Please make plans to attend an upcoming town hall meeting for your State Senator and strong Second Amendment supporter, Dan Patrick. The event is being hosted by the Texas Conservative Coalition -- the conservative caucus of members of the Texas Legislature -- and details are as follows:
Wednesday, December 2
7:00-9:00 P.M.
Lone Star College - University Park
20555 State Hwy. 249
Tomball, TX
Two key NRA-backed bills did not pass during the 2009 legislative session: a proposal prohibiting employers from enforcing policies against hard-working Texans who store firearms in their locked motor vehicles while parked at work, and a measure allowing Concealed Handgun Licensees to protect themselves on college and university campuses. Senator Patrick co-authored both bills and the Texas Senate passed them, but House leaders failed to set either for a timely vote by the full House. This is your chance to thank Senator Patrick for his support and to urge him to push his colleagues in the House to complete action on both issues next session!
