Well,........that MAY be part of it, but I kinda doubt it.......
Also, I think this maybe should be in the "Off Topic" Forum.
More realistically, Obama has a brother (?) in squalor in Indonesia that he has done nothing to help. People are picking up on this and wondering why........
I am thinking that he wants to distance himself from him because he can possibly add to the Obama birth location?

Yea, I'm not really trying to stimulate a deep debate over Obama's nationality so Off-Topic certainly seems more appropriate and it certainly doesn't pertain to gun politics (Which would seem to rule out this forum). However, right under Off-Topic is clearly written "Absolutely NO discussions of religion, race, immigration, or
non-gun political issues! ". Since I've seen other political "funnies" posted here, I assumed it was kosher. Then again the Please Read sticky states:
Charles L. Cotton wrote:...we are getting a lot of posts in the General Gun, Shooting & Equipment forum that are of a political nature. This new forum was set up for those types of topics. Please note, this is not an open forum for any and all political discussions. The topics must at least be tangentially related to guns, shooting, self-defense, Second Amendment, etc
It would seem that the "Political Issues" forum was created to accommodate non-gun related political discussion from the more general forums, except not. I suppose it would be best I just keep my humor (and politics) to myself.

The origin of his birth is unimportant, legally speaking. His mother was born on U.S. soil and was a legal, U.S. citizen. That makes him a U.S. citizen regardless of his birth place, unless he chose citizenship in a nation that would not honor dual-citizenship.

Is that right? I don't recall the mother's birthplace part from my 7th grade Civics class. Please show me.

I recall studying this in school, though I can't recall the textbook or year.
It's not merely the mother, but one parent. If one parent is a legal, U.S. citizen, his/her child is also a U.S. citizen unless that child chooses citizenship elsewhere. (And even in that case, many nations acknowledge dual citizenship.)
For example, if you were working overseas and you/your spouse birthed a child while living outside of the U.S., that child would be considered a U.S. citizen. I tutored two children that were born in England; they had dual citizenship. (Although every now and then an accent would slip out. ;) )

It's difficult for me to accept that the daddy's role in this conception can be overlooked unless it is of the "immaculate conception" type of er,...you know. I think the POTUS' circumstances of birth
are a legal matter vis-a-vis the Constitution of the U.S.; but, what the hey, I'm/we're told that I'm/we're wrong about this...too.

It has been speculated that Obama's Mama may not have been of a certain age at the time of his birth, and if not, the mere fact that she is a American citizen is insufficient to automatically convey him citizenship if born on foreign soil. They're still speculating about a second shooter in Dallas on that grassy knoll.

The more significant factors disqualifying him is his overall lack of experience running ...anything.
His radical leftist insistence on changing America - for the worst.
His weak-kneed global politics make him a laughingstock in the eyes of leaders of other countries.
Other than that he's great.

I'm with you, Abraham. I have more issues with his mindset than I do his birth certificate.

*puts on tin foil hat*
SO if Obama wasnt born in America, how did the GOP fail to bring evidence of this to light? At the time the GOP was in charge of the White House, CIA, FBI, had a majority in the Supreme Court and had a large presence in the Military and Congress. Not to mention the funds to hire P.I.s.
So are you saying that if Obama wasnt born in America, the entire GOP was unable to prove it?

The whole birth certificate thing has been hashed out here on the forum before, and we are not gonna go back down that road. The OP posted it as a funny image and that is all it is.

IIRC John McCain was born in the Canal Zone.
So should he also have been ineligible to be POTUS?

no, because both of his parents were citizens -- his father was active duty Navy, as were he and his grandfather, IIRC
