From the sounds of the return gun fire, it sounded like the 2 LEO's shot until the threat no longer existed.
Good words of advice.

The first guy being shot at is VERY lucky that the second officer arrived. He ran toward a gun being fired at his fellow officer....a true hero. I hope both of them attend church this Sunday because they have alot of thanking to do.
Thank you for posting, Keith......there are a thousand things for me to study thanks to the awesome angle and video quality.

Some of the comments there were pretty nasty. However out of shape that officer is I think he actually hit the BG first after getting up. I can't tell for sure, but it looked like him going down confused the BG and when he rolled for cover and then got up he actually hit the BG first. The other officer certainly put a few rounds in the BG, though. And, although some of the comments eluded to the officer smoking I think he was actually using his radio. However, I don't know why he let the BG get that close openly carrying a handgun like he was.

The first officer laid him down (it appears). It does take

, to run toward gunfire

The video was nice and clear, plus in color. Most PD's don't seem
to have video of such high quality.
I was trying to count the shots - the bad guy appeared to fire 3 times
while approaching the responding officer.
Then when backup arrived, there was about 13 or 14 shots fired, but since
the camera angle couldn't show us the bad guy, it was unclear who fired how
many rounds.
The backup officer seemed to fire the most shots. Notice that he popped in
a fresh mag at the :36 second mark.
Was the suspect trying to commit suicide by cop?

I though the first time watching that, that the officer on the left was hit and fell down. If I was the officer on the Right I would have been MAAAAAAAAAAAAAD if I saw a fellow officer gunned down in front of my eyes. The Perp had a death wish.
Anyone count how many shots fired?
If you are religious say a prayer for those officers because they must be going through a tough time.
