Aren't they being discontinued after the new year?

Yes. I wonder why. Is it because of poor sales, problems with the particular model, or what?

Bad PR although it was silly complaints. Expensive pistol that appealed to a very small (relatively speaking) crowd. Serrations were slippery and nigh useless, many reasons.

I do like the way it looks, with the serrations and finish. Guess I'll keep hunting until I can find one as long is it isn't the quality that has hindered its' sales and caused its' demise.....

I liked it till I tried to rack it. It is slippery. I haven't seen any at the last several shows in houston so might have to shop online.

I guess its best to get it now... Before the value goes up (due to it being discontinued). Just curious to see what everyone thinks - will the value of the Kimber SIS go up ?...

Wasnt really a collectors item so i would doubt it. It should hold close to its value though.

Have you looked on the various
'guns for sale' sites; e.g., Gunbroker, Guns America; Davidson's Gallery of Guns, Texas Guntrader, Kimber forum (I guess there is such), THF, etc., etc?
Good luck with your quest

Private sales arent always cheaper but they do have the big advantage, no big brother involvement or paper trail.
