Johnson Space Center (Space Center Houston)

Visited there a couple of weeks ago with the family. Federal facility for those unfamiliar with it. Signs all around the entrance about no firearms permitted referencing 18 USC 930. But that's not my point.
The security guard looking though people's bags asked everyone entering if they had "mace, pepper spray, or pocket knives" and was making them return to their vehicle to store said items. Never said a word one about firearms. I guess they like us to be completely defenseless from those who don't follow their rules.
BTW, I didn't carry inside, not so much because I didn't want to be a test case if somehow caught, but because I didn't want to sleep on the couch because my wife is convinced that CCW isn't covered by "and other legal purposes."
