Plan on buying a Don Hume 715 for my xd45c. My only question is it tuckable? I've been browsing online or a tuckable holster, thats not going to cost an arm and a leg. So far all I've found is this cheap one: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ZAA829-33.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Not sure whether or not I should trust a cheap one like this, but for 10 bucks it might be worth the try.

Any other tuckable holsters for 45 or less.

Well, it says it's a tuckable and it looks like a tuckable.

Just remember this, you get what you pay for. Most (but not all) cases you pay cheap for a holster, you get a cheap holster. Invest in a good one and invest in a good belt.

No, the H715 series of holsters from Don Hume are not tuckable holsters. I have one. Mine is:

For the money you can't beat it. Good quality holsters ARE expensive. I considered the Ace holster you posted a link to, but decided I wanted a leather holster.

I didn't find any tuckable holsters for less than $45.00 either.

As stated the 715 series is not tuckable. Good entry leval holster & you will get it fast. You will not really find a great difference in that holster & a custom built one for about 2 sweaty summers of daily carry. That is when the difference really starts to show.
Get the 715, save for a really good one, & the 715 will last through the lead time it takes for the custom built one to get to you. Then you have a range holster for the sweaty summer days. Custom will then last a LOOONG time.

Well LT, you have my curiosity up. What in 2 years time of daily 365 wear expect? Sweat and gun metal against bare skin could rust the gun, if you didn't clean it often I guess.

For now, I love my holster and it's serving me well. And thanks for the input. :tiphat:

A lot of sweat on a holster that is not boned really tight to the gun & has 1.75" belt loops on a 1.5" belt will begin to show some rock, a little sag, & definately looser fit on your gun in time. 2-3 yrs, all day every day, outside work in the summer, outdoor range & that takes a greater tole on production line holsters than custom. If you took it off & immediately put on a custom built holster the difference would be far more evident at that 2 yr mark than when both were new.
If you shoot at an indoor range, work under an AC, or are not able to carry 24-7, it will take longer to show up. There is a reason custom leather costs more than production line gear. Allday every day, sweat wet when you get home & let dry over night, is the reason I have range holsters & carry gear. Summer I have salt stains on my leather ones.
I have a Don Hume for my K40 that is my Sunday carry. It works very well but does not have the hard wear that my 1911 or J-Frame does.

Finallly arrived today, I ordered a 5.11 belt, but aparently they were out of them where I ordered it. Tried it with on of my normal belts, looks like 5:00 carry might not work with a tshirt. Ill wait to see till the belt comes in, if my plastic had already arrived id be irritated at combat tactical. Morons said they sent the last one out right before I ordered mine, yet it still says available online... .

I was surprised by the color, the brown looked a little purpleish everywhere I saw a picture of it online, but it is certainly not.

Btw, the ace is leather.

Edited for language.
