Ok, so i have a friend who recentlly turned a mill into a cnc mill. I have allready talked to him about making me some grips for my kimber, the way the set up works is once you punch in what you want this baby will spit em out all day. I was thinking of getting a some what crown of thorns around the outer edge of the grip and on the inside have Psalm 23:4. Would anybody else be interested in some thing like this, or having the oppurtunity to have whatever grip you would like machined out of aluminum?

Might be an interesting investment. What's the cost of materials and labor?

Not sure but labor is minimal and aluminum plate is relatively inexspensive.

Did you ever do this? I would be interested in seeing a pic of the finished product.

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
It seems that CNC mill will have to be capable of a really tiny font
to fit all that on a 1911 grip. :-)

Havent done it yet, waiting for him to get the right bit for the job. It would just say psalm 23:4 not the whole verse. But then again maybe it could say the whole thing really really small and it would just look like checkering from a distance

Does he have a bit that can cut wood? If so I'd be interested in getting some made.
