A 57-year-old blind woman who lived alone was found stabbed to death in her apartment in Texas City Saturday. No motive is known.

The apartment complex, The Mansions at Moses Lake, is supposedly a "gated community":

I've never seen the place. It was built in the past year and is a pretty nice place if it is as advertised.

OK folks, no discussion of religion in the off-topic area. Get back to discussion on the original issue.

No sign of forced entry. No other clues.

You think you got problems? How can a blind person verify the identity of someone knocking on the door and claiming to be the FedEx driver or maintenance man?

She's 19, and a legal adult. May she get her just rewards. Can she be charged with capital murder? I hope so.

She can be charged with capital murder only if she committed the murder in the course of robbery, burglary, or certain other felonies that would not be applicable here.
