What happened between him entering and exiting the store? :headscratch
Cunningham says the suspect entered the store carrying "a long gun and a pistol." She says an off-duty officer from another agency followed the suspect out of the store, where the suspect was killed.

boomerang asked: What happened between him entering and exiting the store?

My guess is he walked back to the ammo counter, and as usual,
they were out of his calibers. :-)

My daughter is at A&M Commerce and is frequently in this store. She was not there during this shooting, but on her way back from church almost stopped to pick up some things. I am thankful to God for keeping her safely out of harms way and praying for the injured deputy.

Today's Dallas Morning Snooze had a picture of the
BG's red Mustang.

The driver's door had at least 5 gunshots in it.
3 were of a very LARGE caliber weapon.
2 appeared to be .45'ish in size.

Looking at that pic, it's rather incredible that he
could have left the car and walked a distance into
the Wal-Mart.

The report said that after he left the car and got into
a further fight with the LEO's, that at least 8 shots were
fired.

The offduty LEO was a Delta County, Texas deputy
who was not working security. He was just in there shopping.

The article says that he tried to detain the fleeing bad
guy, but it never states whether the deputy had a gun,
or if he fired it.

We can assume that an offduty LEO has his gun with him.

I heard about that. Commerce is sorta North of Dallas.
Also heard about the Man and son shot at a Dallas Bank today.
