Just got back from Academy
Got their last Glock 26
Came with 2 Mags, a trigger lock (I'm going to shoot it), some Letter from the AG of Mass about how guns kill people blah blah blah, and a Glock Poster thing
I like it, its little, its lite, and I can carry it in my pocket.
Bought a Heap of Ammo gonna take it to the range Friday (bringing Camera)
Gonna torture test this little sucker, feed it Monarch, and bad Ammo, till it pukes. then I'm gonna load it full of the $$$ stuff.
Allready thinking about getting a Pink Extension, Maybe some new Sights, gotta find a IWB Holster, gotta put some Crayon on the Glock Lettering. Still gonna carry the Browning on the Cold Days, but I wont feel so bad about it.
I worry about using cleaner on the plastic afraid it will warp it or change the color.

That should match your pink range bag nicely.
I've (accidentally) gotten solvent on the plastic before and it didn't hurt it but I would still try to keep it away.

Good for you - I bought a G26 when I got rid of my wretched Kahr P9; unlike the Kahr, the Glock works very, very, well.
Early Glocks had a problem with "limp wrist syndrome" but my G26 works with nary a hiccup even when I deliberately shoot it with an unlocked wrist and a very loose thumb-and-forefinger grip.

I've used solvent on my Glocks for years and never had a problem. Scrub out the receiver just like any other with Shooter's Choice. Only thing I've avoided is the spray-can solvents unless they specifically say "polymer safe formula" then I'll use them sparingly on the plastic parts.
That's a darn fine gun and quite a good compliment to a full-size 9mm like a Hi-Power. Same ammo, smaller size, once you get used to the trigger I think you'll find it's the closest you're going to get to a single-action pull in a double-action firearm. I'd highly recommend a "-" or "N" or "3.5" connector (all different names for the same part) to lighten the trigger pull just a bit.
If you want night sights, GT Distributors has some good deals - I paid about $65 for Ameriglo/Trijicon with a green front and yellow rear. They installed them free because I bought my G27 (used) from them, but I think they'll install on any gun for about $10.
How do you plan to pocket carry? Front pocket? Rear pocket? Side/cargo pants pocket? Curious if you find a pocket holster you like - I'm still looking, though I'm thinking about ordering one from Mika's Pocket Holsters. I picked up one of his for a snub revolver and like it so far - well designed and put together - nice reinforced top stays open for reholstering.
Anyway, congrats on a great purchase. And just know that you'll never make that gun choke-n-puke (to borrow the Jerry Reed line from "Smokey and the Bandit") no matter what ammo you feed it. Only ammo trouble I've ever had with a Glock is Blazer aluminum case on my Glock 23.

think i'm gonna stick with the Inside the Waist, Pocket seems to tricky to get to.
Tried some "Mexican Carry" around the house in some Boxers and a Tight T-Shirt, cant even see the darn thing. I like it, I like it alot.
Take down was alittle tricky.
They got some Fancy Toys for the Glocks out there.

I agree with you. I prefer to pocket a snub nose of anything (something about the grip angle just works better). But I'd like to find something that could hold my G27 and/or Walther PPS securely in a pocket if I needed to do so in a pinch.
Be careful with Mexican carry with a Glock - don't want to Plaxico yourself. Unloaded around the house is fine, but I wouldn't do it with a round in the chamber.

That's good to know. I've always worried it would dull the plastic.

If you don't mind my asking, how much out the door?
I'd be tempted to mail that letter back to the AG of Mass.

$573 after Sales Tax
They were selling for more at McBrides and The Gun Store, also I didnt think they were "New" New, they looked Once around the Range "New" or "I bought this and the wife yelled at me" new.
I'm sure someone is going to pop in here with a gunbroker link telling me I got ripped off, or how they saw one at the Gun Show for Half that.
If I was a LEO I could have picked one up for REAL Cheap at GTs but I didnt feel comfortable having my LEO friend buy a gun just to sell it to me.
It's my Early Birthday Gift aka I dont want to get arrested for "Open Carry" in Round Rock gift.
I'm gonna take some photos tomorrow, I'll scan the letter

Congrats - you're gonna love that gun. Aside from my +2 mags with pinky extensions, the only other accessory was decal grips in sand. My hands can get sweaty and those things work very well. Only downside is wear on your holsters and clothes from the grip contact. No crayons for me!
