PHC's Detective Guy Noir threatened with death by Wesson.

PHC = Prairie Home Companion, a 2 hour live musical/humor variety
show, based in St. Paul, MN, but it goes on the road all over the US.
Mr. Garrison Keillor (say keeler, rhymes with wheeler) is the creative
force for the show. DOB = 8/7/1942.
Film noir (black film in French) refers to the genre of low light detective
movies made in Hollywood, mostly from the 1930's to 1950's.
Guy Noir is a private detective in the show. As I listened, I thought I
had detected an error in the show, but then the joke was on me.

Detective Guy Noir was in Portland, Oregon, sniffing around a restaurant
for information. He found out that since the owner couldn't make money
off the food, he had taken to importing Canadian prescription drugs into
the US.
Restaurant owner:
You know too much, Noir. I'm going to kill you with this Wesson.
Noir: Don't you mean Smith and Wesson?
Restaurant owner: No, it's just a Wesson. It shoots hot oil.
