Yo, Adrian:
Make that Adrian, Michigan. I used to motorcycle around there. Nice little bucolic town with a good resturant nestled in the row crop fields near the Ohio border. I always knew it would get on the map:

The funny thing is members of the Michigan Militia turned down their request for help. Some reportedly thought the Hutaree was an FBI front group.
“Because the Hutaree had planned a covert reconnaissance operation for April which had the potential of placing an unsuspecting member of the public at risk, the safety of the public and of the law enforcement community demanded intervention at this time," McQuade said in the announcement.
So when are they rounding up everyone with MS 13 tattoos?

I too hail from that part of the state. Grew up in Blissfield, just down the road from Adrian.

You should always Worry when the Goverment starts "Rounding Up" people.
I wonder what gave them away, was it a Plant? Wire tapping? SOmeone sold them out?
I also wonder why they didnt "Fight it out" seems they went pretty peacefully.

These types usually gather in rural areas where they can shoot and practice their 'maneuvers'. While it is rural areas, they will still not go unobserved. They go to the local grocery store, coffee shops and restaurants, talk to the locals, or may have even be from the local area and know many of the people there and they know them. When they gather, they talk, and they also are pretty good about talking up their political views. When the residents start realizing they are extreme radicals and starting to be up to no good, it doesn't take long to throw up the red flag and get the authorities involved. There are also many times that a current or former member of the group will realize the organization is going rouge (not Palin's way

) in their plans and will contact the authorities and end up working as a mole or informant.
You would be surprised at just how many of these types of groups exist across the U.S. Most of them are basically harmless and have good, although misguided, intentions and will never pose a real threat to anyone. However, the ones that do go overboard must be dealt with swiftly as they are just as dangerous as any other terrorist organization.

I grew up in a rural area that has a very low median income. These types of 'homes' are very common and while they are poorly maintained and often trashy looking, it doesn't mean the folks there are bad. However, you will find that many of the people that follow these radical leaders (whether political or religious) don't have a lot of money and are 'searching' for something or somewhere to belong and be accepted. They may not be very well educated or socially adept. The are often considered outsiders or weirdo's by many. When they do find something to get involved in that will accept them, they often loose sight of reality (if they ever really had it in sight to begin with) and become even farther embedded in the group leader's evil plot, to the point of where they feel it is the right thing to do. Bottom line, they are easily mislead and follow like sheep. They may posses some skills that the leaders like (shooting, mechanic, manual labor, you name it) and the fact that they will do whatever the groups leader(s) say and do anything they can to be accepted, makes them desirable to the organization. They become zombies in a sense and will play out to the end the role. This is what makes any radical organization that plots a terrorist act so dangerous; they become determined to follow through and won't stop until they are caught or carry out their act.

See I've been/visted to Trailer Parks or Mobile Home areas, where people may be poor but take pride and actually maintain their Homes and area.

These are not located in mobile home parks or organized living areas, they are usually on a piece of farmland or divided property, the land was bought by someone for a couple of thousand dollars max and then sat the trailer on it to either rent out or it has been sold 2 or 3 times. It is sold by someone who has 'moved up' to something better to someone who can't afford much and is trying to start out or just have a place to live. The ones in the trailer parks are required by the rules to maintain their property and keep it fairly clean.
Trailers are also very popular in the rural areas like this for making meth (prior to the 'shake and bake mobile methods). Cheap and no neighbors close enough to notice the smell of their lab. A couple of years ago it was very common to have 2-3 trailers a month burn or literally blow up in the area I moved from due to a meth lab faux pas.

No, but it's a big red flag. A majority of the time living conditions like this are indicative of either criminal activity, primarily drug use, or mental problems. I'd say this guy Stone had a good case of the latter for sure. Nuttier than that Muslim Iman the Detroit FBI mowed down last year.

Keith, you know someone had to do it, so it might as well be me...
Isn't that profiling?
Aren't we (the government) forbidden from profiling the 25 year old Muslim who is boarding a plane with no luggage?
While I agree wholeheartedly that certain factors are just that, factors, or indicative of certain activities, I just wish we (the government) would do that when it really makes sense (see above)
