+1, I will be in the same situation as marksiwel. Would like to hear what the seasoned CHL holders recommend.

Keep it concealed.

You have the right to bare arms and bare legs, but you have to hide your handgun. Unless you plan on bare belly, IWB still works.

Stay in the A/C! :smilelol5:

To be serious for a moment, find a good IWB carry system such as a minotar IWB holster, or a crossbreed super tuck. (Other holsters are out there, these are just off the top of my head.) Good light weight cover shirts go a long way to keeping you comfortable as well. I'm partial to fishing shirts and nicer Hawaiian style shirts myself.

If you carry IWB or OWB, you're most likely going to get sweat on your gun. That's OK, as long as you don't let it sit there. When you take your gun off, check it for signs of sweat, and then give it a quick cleaning/oiling.

I favor those lightweight, loose-fitting "fishing" shirts you can get at Bass Pro or Cabela's that have lots of venting and breath real well. Shorts, particular baggy cargo shorts are good for concealment.

Avoid using a Smart Carry at all costs, or you'll smell (and feel) like you're cooking up a pot of chili down there. :smilelol5:

I am not a "Pro" but my summer "uniform" is shorts and an untucked shirt. My carry method is IWB. I place a folded bandana (NOT a :anamatedbanana) between the firearm/holster and my body for added comfort and to absorb sweat. Works for me.

No pro here, still waiting on my plastic. What I plan on is IWB with loose fitting shorts, a loose shirt and some sort of undershirt, like a under armor (or cheaper walmart equivalent).

After a couple of summers, IWB with a Supertuck and shorts works for me. From a loose T-shirt to a tucked or untucked dress shirt works. Same carry style as any other time to me.

I am not "a pro", but a holster with a "sweat guard" keeps most of the moisture away from your gun.

All of the above posts are right on the money. I would add only one other point. Get a few premium cotton undershirts. JcPenney sells the thicker ones on sale for $17 for 3. These are very absorbent and will keep the perspiration off your gun.

With a good IWB, should be just fine. I wear my PT145 routinely with a crossbreed supertuck in shorts and a t shirt. Not a fancy button up, not a fishing shirt, just an XL t shirt. No one has ever noticed a thing.

Have CC'd in Texas since 1998. I wear pretty much the same thing summer and winter, with the exception that I wear vests and sometimes jackets in the winter. Tried a number of configurations, what I have worked out is a Comp-Tac CTAC for my BHP, and I aways wear an undershirt. The CTAC does an excellent job of keeping sweat off my BHP. The outer shirt varies according to what I am doing -- T-shirt, polo, dress shirt, sometimes coveralls, whatever. I also carry either a P3AT or a snub in left front pocket, in a sweat resistant holster (made by Mika). Sweat - resistance is important. I used to have an Uncle Mike's holster for a snub, but even with daily wipedowns, the snub cylinder eventually got some rusting from sweat that soaked through. I have worn these configurations indoors and out, doing chores, on my tractor, fighting brush fires, it has generally worked for me. Frequent field stripping and cleaning won't hurt.

Carry concealed, be quiet about it and smile! (This is my favorite answer to several posts)

For IWB carry with a regular Tee shirt I would suggest wearing a tucked in "wife beater" undershirt between your skin and the gun.
Buy some hawaiian shirts. It's the CHL summer uniform. You can wear a regular tee shirt under it.

Cargo shorts and pocket carry are the easiest and most versatile.
