Well, kinda like Easter Eggs.
I was running a little short on 45, so I got in gear and did some casting today.

Fired up the Lee pot, cast 525 of the TL452 230G 2OG Easter eggs. Took about 30 minutes to get the pot up to temp and get ready to cast. Casting took about an hour.

Next they went to the sizing die. I use a Lee sizer, prelube and size wet with the Cabelas spray (lanolin and alcohol) to keep deposits out of the die. It cleans off real easy by rolling them in a towel. This took about 30 minutes.

Last step is to tumble lube with Lee Liquid Alox. I like to tumble in a ziplock plastic bowl and stand them up on pld primer trays to dry. This produces an even coating and they dry really even. This took about 45 minutes.

Now they are all lined up, and drying. I will have time about the middle of the week to laod them up with the Lee Loadmaster. 525 of them will take about 2 hours, including setup and cleanup up time.

That's a real good bullet. It shoots well in both of my .45s but I can't get them to come out 230 grains mine weigh 220-225 my alloy must be too hard. I shoot them without sizing they come out of the mold .452-.453. Do you use the two cavity mould or the six cavity one? I have the six cavity you can really turn out some bullets with one of those.

We go through a lot of 45 around this household. Me, the wife and the son all shoot 45 ACP. I started with the 2 hole, quickly graduated to the 6 cavity. I fire up 2 pots (Lee 10#) and keep them hot while casting.
While I cast from one, the other is melting. My cast averages 228G with the alloy I am using. The cast lead is very accurate.

Lee makes a two cavity pistol mold?????
