Guys,
Any of you guys have experience with this gun? Cabela's has it for $559; it's a .45 that is SA/DA and it comes with a .22 conversion. If the barrel were just an inch shorter I might jump on it.

I have the Elite Limited .45 in SS with oversized controls and it is a tack driver. Too cumbersome for CHL though. Mags are expensive.

My son wanted one pretty badly to compete with, but he specified the model without the rail, and they shipped the one with the rail. So we returned it, for an exchange, and were told that they all have the rail now and are unobtainable without. So 6 months later, we're at the Ft Worth gunshow, and low and behold, you can buy a brand new competition version without the stupid rail.
Go figure. He wound up getting a Kimber instead.

Yep-Too big. Still .22 conversion intrigues me. My UC9 doesn't have one available, and I'm not gonna' get another gun just for the sake of .22 conversion availability. My little revolver plinks nicely.

I'll try to just give you the facts.
I bought an EAA steel witness compact 45 acp. After about 150 rounds I noticed the slide had a crack in it. EAA wanted me to ship the entire gun to them at my expense. They refused to let me just send them the slide for exchange. I sent the gun. Then they wanted me to pay for the return shipping. When I told them they were 'NUTS', they told me that I was getting a 'great deal' by paying the shipping, because they had not only replaced the slide they had done a 'trigger job', installed an 'ambi safety' and put a 'target crown' on the barrel. I had not asked for any of that!! I was just trying to get warranty replacement of a defective part on a less than 1 month old gun. After a discussion with the 'head guy' they payed to mail my gun back. They would not refund what I paid to ship it to them. They said the warranty only covered parts and labor, not shipping expense.
This gun puts them all in one ragged hole!! I shoot it better than any of my Sigs, or anything else! I HATE this gun and EAA.
It's too heavy to carry and it has a huge grip but only holds 8 rds. and it puts them all in one ragged hole.
No, I don't feel better, OE

I think they are a clone of a clone of a clone...Like playing the telephone game as a kid, things get changed and mixed up down the line.
