I'm posting this on every forum I visit because from what I've seen the show is amazing.

history channel is giving away a free copy of America The Story of Us to any K-12 school and colleges at the request of the principal of the school. I saw the premiere last night and it was AMAZING! the first two hours were about the American Revolution and it was great and even got the fact right about the Boston massacre (right man in charge of the British forces was telling them not to fire, one of the British men were hit with a stone in the head before the shooting started, big angry mob, etc) but it was still very pro-American. if anyone is interested here are the links.

Teachers Guide: http://www.history.com/images/media/...a_IdeaBook.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
America The Story of US DVD (including free shipping): http://classroom.history.com/america-dvd/event/form" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Classroom Activity Guide: http://www.history.com/images/media/...vity_Guide.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Enjoy (the dvd's for the schools don't ship until around August 2010)

Thanks for the tip. Our school only has one student, but he loves history.

If I had it all to do over....

I sent the above websites to our Supt. but I'm afraid that everyone is consumed with TAKS scores rather than learning. Is it just me....
