Another shooting interest

I recently discovered another shooting venue that interests me -- archery! I did a little recurve shooting in high school Physical Ed class, then never touched it again for a long time. I guess I must have been looking at bows a lot online and in the store ads recently and asking my husband about it (he used to bowhunt), so my husband bought a compound bow for me. It's a lot of fun! I'm only shooting targets, but having lots of fun. Shooting is shooting, and it's another activity to enjoy.

....and the "ammo" is reusable!
Hunting with a bow is much more fun (in my opinion) than hunting with a rifle. I hunt with a bow for the challenge and hunt with a rifle for meat.

You're right about the challenge! I think that when I get better at it, I'll try my hand at bowhunting or bowfishing. As for the ammo being reusable, that IS nice!!

Archery is a lot of fun. I did quite a bit in CA. They have great Archery matches out there. Everything from 5 yards to 100 yard shots. We shot paper and 3D targets. Some of the targets were 3D dinosaurs used for the Million BC match.
