A tall, muscular black man wearing a tan polo shirt, black slacks, and a holstered hammerless pistol was in line at the pharmacy counter at Kroger on Seawall Boulevard in Galveston around 3:30 p.m. 4-30-2010.

No one screamed, threw up, or fainted. The cops did not show up.

Was it OC, or just "printing"? I just saw at Krooger, a man in khaki shorts with untucked black sport sweater shirt (like those from underarmor) printing bad at 4:00. I didn't bother spooking him by saying "hey, what are carrying there?"
I just let it go, he was in white condition too.

Saw a gentleman at Academy on Tuesday of this week, jeans and a polo shirt, he reached up and got a target off one of the racks. The tail of his shirt hooked on the grip and there it stayed unbeknownst to him. I quickly walked up to him and said from one carrier to another I don't think others will like seeing your heat. He turned pail white, pulled his shirt down, and said thank god I wasn't a store worker. He also commented that I had an advantage over everyone else because I don't look old enough to have my CHL. I told him you never know what someone has behind their waistband. Good encounter and glad that I saw his Glock before anyone else.

Just like Beiruty's guy, This gentlemen was in white condition too. He was too wrapped up looking at prices on other targets and didn't notice me until I said something to him. ( At this point I'm within 5 feet. ) I think I sort of startled him when I started talking. I don't know about you others but I know when my shirt catches on the grip of my pistol.

I've seen LEOs wearing shirts similar to that... some even have a badge embroidered on the front.

I've always liked the "Sir, your 2nd Amendment is showing" approach. All of my shirts are long enough not to do that.

To the topic, I have yet to actually see an exposed gun on someone who wasn't an obvious LEO.

Same. Although last time I went grocery shopping I saw a guy with a glock hat, and an older gentleman wearing an NRA life member jacket. Figured there was a better than average chance at least 3 people in Kroger that night were armed.

I unintentionally unconcealed yesterday while at the Bow Wow Bash in Allen. Had my two dogs with me and they got me tangled in the leash at one point. I had to lift the leash over my head to get untangled and my shirt came up and caught on the handle.

Luckily, I'm in the habit of always checking when I reach up, so I immediately noticed and recovered. One bearded gentleman who looked Vietnam-era aged was looking right at me when this happened, though. I looked at him after recovering and he just looked at me and gave me a quick nod, as if saying "You did good, son"

My husband unconcealed at his parents' home the other day. His little sister's friend stood there and had a long conversation with my husband and, just when we were about to leave, the kid goes, "WHOA! IS THAT A GUN??"

He had just spotted my hubby's 6" King Cobra on his hip...that had been exposed for over an hour.

People really just don't pay attention. :)

I've only seen a few LEO's in plain clothes OCing. Their badges were on their belts just inches from their weapon. They were far from athletic looking. I guess the annual fitness requirements for some departments are pretty lax.

Indeed, we actually had the same reaction from her boyfriend, but he HAS had experience with firearms.
This friend is very...erm...liberal, so wasn't too pleased. But we gave him all sorts of heck about not noticing for so long. :)
