Built this to see how light I could get an AR and it is lighter than a steel 1911. I am guessing under 4lbs, I dont have a scale that small. CavArms polymer receiver shortend 2 inches, light weight gas block, pencil barrel, polymer flip up sights front and rear, Daniel Defense (titanium I think) Lite Rails, thread protector on barrel instead of heavy flashider. Includes 1 polymer 30rd magazine. Fully loaded you can still hold easily at arms length. I have shot only 10 rds to test functions at 60 yds and all were centered under 2 inches with iron sights. I never sighted in so this thing will get more accurate once properly broke in and sighted properly. scope not included $1100

Cool. I've been thinking about one of the PlumCrazy polymer lowers, which are 8 ounces lighter than a standard aluminum lower. They offer a complete lower with all internals and a six-position stock for $129.
