Sprung her from the slammer

I was at the city code enforcement office this morning. The animal shelter is next door and I noticed a dog in there I had seen around the neighborhood. I called the director of animal control and asked if they knew where the dog lived and was told the owner's refused to come get the dog and she was up for adoption. Well "Phoebe" came home with me a short while later. She's a border collie mix and pretty well trained already. Good deal for me and good deal for her.

The love of a dog is such a perfect gift. It's a win/win
for the dog and the human.
When I see the ads for the local Hickory Creek animal
shelter, I swear I'd like to adopt them all!!!

She slept on the foot of my bed last night and the rest of the K9 gang has already accepted her as a member.
